Toyota Mr2 Jack Points

Get a nice trolley jack - all of £40 down Halfords, and four axle stands, then use the front & rear crossmember jacking points and bingo - you've jacked it up in half the time it'd take you to use the scissor jack. The '2 may be light, but you still don't want it landing on your chest.

I've always wanted to ask this What is the correct way of jacking up a turbo2. the front and the back. where should a jack stand be placed to hold the car. Does the jack or the stand requirs wood on top of it so it wont damage the frame of the car. Pictures will help alot!

The center front jacking point is easy to spot. Between the front tires you'll see a kind of circular indentation in the underbody plastics. That's the spot. Chock the front wheels, place a floor jack at the lift point and up she goes. Fit the front two jackstands.

Use the jacking points along the side of the car, of course you'll hear that slight bending of metal sound or crushing but the area that you have the jack stand at in the picture is the correct area. That and the rear one that looks just like that on each side are the jacking points of pretty much all cars!

Just wondering where the jacking points are on the MR2? Last weekend I wanted to jack the car up but didnt know where to put the jack, ended up just driving it onto some bricks instead (cant fit a trolley jack under it anyway unless its on bricks, the scissor jack thats under the spare wheel only just gets under).
