well i have an MK1, but i just disassembled a 92 SW20 for an engine swap and it didnt have power steering on it. if your not sure about your car, open the engine cover and look for a P/S pump, has to be driven by a belt on the front of the engine, no belt, no pump, no power steering. The power steering pump would be in the frunk not the rear.
